Beautiful edition illustrated with 43 original drypoints by Marcel VERTÈS (1895-1961), including 17 hors texte.
Edition at 95 copies. This one is one of the 25 on imperial japan (n° 3), after a single copy on old japan, enriched with an original drawing by the artist, an autograph page signed by Francis Carco, and a suite of 88 plates on imperial japan or old japan, including the illustrations of the book in various states as well as refused plates.
