CARCO (Francis).
Nothing but a woman.
Paris, 1925. - In-8, 249 x 185 : (4 ff. first blank), 162 pp, (3 ff. last 2 blank), 18 plates, printed cover. Half tan morocco with corners, spine gilt, untrimmed, cover and spine preserved (period binding).
"Sought-after and highly rated edition" (Carteret), printed at 276 copies, illustrated with 16 coloured etchings by CHAS-LABORDE, including one on the title and 15 outside the text.
Precious copy on Hollande, of which the announced edition is 60 copies. This one is not part of the justification and bears the autograph mention of Carco in blue pencil: "N° 00 reserved by the author for his friend (name erased) F. Carco".
The copy has the characteristics of the Hollande printings, i.e. it is enriched with 3 refused plates and a black suite of all the hors-texts, including the three refused.
A fine copy, very well preserved despite the slightly faded spine.
