Dark blue half-maroquin with corners, spine gilt, untrimmed, cover and spine preserved (P. Saillier). Edition of 275 copies, illustrated with 103 compositions by Umberto BRUNELLESCHI (1879-1949), coloured with stencils by J. Saudé, including 12 out of the text. This is one of the most beautiful books illustrated by the artist. One of 250 copies on Arches laid paper (n° 127). Hinge of the first plate cracked at the height of the last two boxes. - LAMARTINE (Alphonse de). Graziella. Paris: H. Limited edition, illustrated with 27 colour compositions by Umberto Brunelleschi, including 4 full-page ones. One of 895 copies on vellum from the papeteries de Rives (n° 1066). One of the first 100 copies enriched with a black suite of the hors-texts and two rejected plates. Two proofs of the suite are here in duplicate. A very well preserved copy.
