Piazza, [1948]. - In-8, 241 x 180 : (1 blank f.), 245 pp, (3 ff. last blank), illustrated cover. Paperback, filled cover, slipcase. Edition of 300 copies, illustrated with 17 colour compositions by Umberto BRUNELLESCHI, including one on the cover, one full page and 15 in the text. The title also includes a vignette but in black on a beige background. One of the 70 first copies on pure rag vellum from the Arches paper mills, with two suites of illustrations, in black and in colour. The title vignette is not included in the suites. A PRECIOUS COPY BEARING THE NUMBER 1, INCLUDING THE 17 ORIGINAL DRAWINGS BY BRUNELLESCHI. These drawings, done in pencil, watercolour and gouache, were made on cardboard, most of them in in-4 format, except for the first one in in-8 square format. Only the second and the third are signed. They are kept in a red cloth spine folder with a slipcase. These are real little jewels of illustration, of great beauty. A perfectly preserved copy, except for the presence of stains on some leaves.
