VASE DE FLEURS Öl auf Leinwand. 46 x 38 cm. Rechts unten signiert „Vlaminck“. Auf Keilrahmen rückwärtig Etikett mit Künstlerverweis.Beiliegend eine Kopie der Bestätigung des Wildenstein-Institute mit der Referenznummer 1284 vom 22. Oktober 1993. Auf einer kaum als solche erkenntlichen Tischplatte ein braun glasierter Keramikkrug, dessen Hals sich schlaglichtartig mittels Reflex weiß abhebt. Darin ein Blumenstrauß in roten und blauen Tönen, welcher sich kontrastreich vor der weißen Wand abzeichnet, welche im oberen rechten Bildviertel verschattet ist. Bedeutender französischer Maler der Moderne in dem Kreis französischer Künstler, der vor allem in enger Freundschaft mit André Derain (1880-1954) wirkte und die Entstehung des Fauvismus einleitet. Als Postimpressionist wurde er zeitweise von dem Galeristen Daniel-Henry Kahnweiler betreut. 1955 Teilnehmer der documenta 1 in Kassel. 2008 Würdigung seiner Werke durch eine Ausstellung im Musée du Luxembourg in Paris.
