Built at the Tecklenborg shipyard in Bremerhaven, the cargo ship Potosi was the largest sailing ship in the world from its commissioning in 1895 to 1902. In the 1920s, the ship sailed under the Chilean flag until it finally caught fire off the Patagonian coast in 1925 and was sunk.
