Virgin Mary and patron Dated and inscribed upper right: A/s 1576. Aetatis. 36/22 Nobris 1617 Oil on copper, 21X27 cm Provenance: Amsterdam, Christie's, 5 September 2001, lot 405 (as Bolognese School 1617) The painting is attributed to the Bolognese school, however, Roman influences can be discerned, distinguishable in the face of the Virgin which recalls the models of Scipione Pulzone (Gaeta, c. 1540- 1542 ; Rome, 1598).
