(Bologna, 1665 - 1747)
Bambina
Oil on canvas glued on board, 16.5X14.5 cm
The painting evokes the style of Giuseppe Maria Crespi and his works dedicated to the episodes depicting the exploits of Bertoldo, Bertoldino and Cacasenno inspired by the literary texts of G. C. Croce and Camillo Scaligeri della Fratta (alias Adriano Banchieri). These compositions were so popular that the painter produced a series for Prince Pamphilj.
