Butterfield" percussion revolver, five-shot, 41 caliber single action. 17.8 cm rifled barrel. Brass frame, with traces of marking on the top. Nickel-plated cylinder. Walnut stock plates. Length: 35 cmIn the state. (Pitting). Patented in 1855 by Jesse Butterfield of Philadelphia (Pennsylvania), this revolver with military vocation was manufactured with approximately 640 specimens in 1861-62.
