Unknown painter, Portrait of a lady in a blue dress. Circa 1830.
Oil on canvas. Unsigned. Framed in a gold-coloured decorative frame with corner cartouches.
Wax-doubled, edges of the original canvas cut all around. Painting layer with age craquelure and climatic edge. Larger, incorrectly coloured retouchings in the area of the face, neck, décolleté and hands as well as selective retouchings in the background and in the dress. Frame with isolated missing parts of the frame as well as with cracks at the corner cartouches.
Dimensions: 61 x 49 cm, frame 74 x 60 cm.
