Oil on thin painting cardboard, completely mounted on strong backing cardboard. Unsigned. Artist's inscription and title in another hand on verso.
Provenance: Collection Prof. Dr. Fritz G. Altmann, Zittau and Hanover.
Differences in gloss of the surface, scratch marks, tiny missing parts in the painting layer in the area of the sky top right.
Dimensions: 22,5 x 31,8 cm, sub. 23,5 x 32,3 cm.

Studies in Göttingen and Halle, doctorate with H. Wuttke in Leipzig. In 1872 lecturer of geography and ethnography at the Polytechnic in Dresden. Was significantly involved in the revision, respectively new revision of several textbooks, among others 1878 "Die Geschichte der Erdkunde".
