Framed in a broad gold-coloured decorative frame. Lit.: Friedrich von Boetticher: Malerwerke des Neunzehnten Jahrhunderts. Contribution to the history of art. Vol. I.1, p. 237. Painting layer with inconspicuous climatic edge, partly minimal, hardly noticeable age craquelure. The edges partially with small retouchings. The frame at the upper edge with a missing part. Measures: 29.3 x 25.2 cm, overall 46.5 x 43 cm. Adelheid Dietrich 1827 Wittenberg - 1891 Erfurt Still life and flower painter. Pupil of her father Eduard Dietrich (1803-1877). Her paintings are in the style of Dutch flower painting of the 17th century and are characterized by a remarkable painterly delicacy. From 1847 the artist participated in the academic art exhibitions in Dresden, later also in Berlin, Bremen, Kassel, Vienna and Cologne. About 50 of her works have been preserved. Among others, she is represented with works in the National Gallery of Art, Washington D. C.
