Karl Adam Heinisch, Krummhübel - View from Querseifen to the Schneekoppe and the eastern ridge of the Krkonoše. Last quarter of the 19th century. Karl Adam Heinisch1847 Neustadt (Silesia) - 1923 Munich Oil on canvas, completely laminated on painting cardboard. Unsigned. Framed in a profiled golden wooden frame. Cf. the painting by Getrud Staats, deposited in the Silesian Museum in Görlitz; dep. no. SMG 2016/0449. Reduced in size, probably resulting in the loss of the signature. Minimal unevenness, probably due to the lamination. An inconspicuous scratch mark (ca. 3,5 cm) u.Mi. in the area of the vegetation with slight loss of colour. Partly with minimal age craquelure. Slight abrasion of the upper painting layer in the area of the mountains above the treetop. Few small retouchings. Measures: 26.3 x 35.5 cm, ra. 35 x 44.7 cm. Karl Adam Heinisch 1847 Neustadt (Silesia) - 1923 Munich Studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. From 1879 to 1913 he was represented at the annual exhibitions in Munich with motifs from Upper Bavaria and Lake Constance. The work of the artist, who was active as an open-air painter, can be assigned stylistically to the circle of the Munich School and Wilhelm von Diez.
