The origin of Viña La Rosa dates back to 1824 when Francisco Ossa y Mercado decided to purchase an estate in the central part of the country. The purchase included a vineyard planted with vines brought from pre-phylloxera France, a winery, barrels for ageing and the family residence.
Today, the sixth generation of the family, headed by Ismael Ossa Errázuriz, is in charge of continuing the founders' legacy and consolidating Viña La Rosa as a producer of world-class fine wines.
