Oil/wood, 32,5 x 40 cm, lo. ri. sign. R. Grossmann. - German painter, draughtsman and writer. The artist studied at the Düsseldorf academy as well as in Paris under L. Simon. He was member of the Berlin secession, of the Freie Sezession as well as of the Deutscher Künstlerbund. He exhibited among others at Flechtheim and Cassirer and taught at the Staatliche Kunstschule Berlin. G. is inventor of the gelatine lithograph. Mus.: Bremen, Mannheim, Karlsruhe.
