Oil/cardboard, 52 x 61 cm, lo. ri. sign. and dat. B. Beye 26, on the reverse sketch of another nude. - German painter. B. studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule Magdeburg. After periods in Berlin and the Rhineland, he continued his training at the Académie Colarossi in Paris in 1925-28. He evaded harassment by the National Socialists by travelling to Southern Europe and Morocco. A large part of his work was destroyed during the bombing of Magdeburg in 1945.
