1901 Hamburg - 1979 Hamburg - "Rising Full Moon" - watercolor/paper. 21,8 x 27,9 cm. Signed and dated r. u.: Bargheer (19)48. Passepartout. Framed full view under glass. Unopened. Bargheer studied at the Hamburg-Lerchenfeld School of Applied Arts until 1918 and became a member of the Hamburg Secession in 1929. In 1939 Bargheer moved to Italy and turned stylistically to abstraction. In 1955 and 1959 he participated in the I. and II. Documenta. In 1963 he became a professor at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin.
