A TSAVORITE AND DIAMOND BROOCH, BY SABBADINI, CIRCA 1980 Modelled as a stylised flower, the petals pavé-set with circular-cut tsavorite garnets weighing 18.84cts in total, the pistils and stem pavé-set with brilliant-cut diamonds, with a marquise-shaped diamond accent, mounted in 18K gold, diamonds 2.43cts total, signed Sabbadini, with maker's fitted case, length 7.5cm Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Sabbadini in Milano Sabbadini is a long-standing Italian jewellery house, and in fact the only firm to still manufacture their piece in central Milan today. Sabbadini’s flagship store opened in 1998 and is located on the famous Via Montenapoleone. Designed by the legendary architect Renzo Mongiardino, the store is the first and only commercial project by Mongiardino, who drew upon the core values of the jewellery house in his creation after having explore the history of the brand and its emphasis on tradition and intricate craftsmanship. The Sabbadini Jewellery house is renowned for the creation of pieces made with tiny stones clustered in seamless paves set around single statement gems. Alongside this, the firm is celebrated for its exquisite enamelling with a specific focus on natural motifs, ranging from flowers to dogs to its signature bees, the latter of which was designed by founder Alberto for his wife Stefania. Sabbadini jewellery is in line with contemporary artistic movements and reflects the house’s love of modern art. The Sabbadini house continues to be a family-run business, with Stefania Sabbadini at the helm alongside her son and CEO of the firm, Pierandrea. The Sabbadini motto strives to create of design that not only enhance a woman’s beauty and femininity but above all allow her to retain and celebrate her individuality.
