PIETA ON A CONSOLE German or Flemish, c. 1700, console later wood, plastically carved, coloured or gilded, back flattened and hollowed. H. 31 cm (figure), h. 27,5 cm (console). Full-length depiction of the seated Mother of God holding the body of Christ on her lap. Console with floral, rocaille and shell decoration. Partly damaged, the frame replaced.
