Beautiful engraved certificate on vellum (40 x 28,5 cm), decorated with palmettes, medallion at the bottom center representing Henri IV in profile, small vignette at the top. Nomination given on June 22, 1815 (4 days after Waterloo) signed by his hand by Jérôme Delandine de SAINT-ESPRIT (1787-1855), in favour of Jean-Baptiste-Jordan Dugas, to the rank of Second Lieutenant, "we are making a point of having him confirmed by His Majesty, on his return to his Capital, this nomination, as a reward for an active service and a faithful devotion to the sacred cause of our legitimate King Louis XVIII". Jérôme Delandine de Saint-Esprit was at the initiative, during the Hundred Days, of recruiting volunteers, called "Henri IV's Hunters", to fight "The Usurper" (Napoleon I)
