AN ARABIC HANDWRITTEN MANUSCRIPT ON THE HISTORY OF MOHAMMED_x000D_ Morocco (?), probably 17th / 18th c._x000D_ from the library of Giamil Vacca Mazzara in Tripoli / Africa, also called Vacca Bello,_x000D_ an Italian citizen who claimed to have written the novella Ali and Nino, which was written under the pseudonym Korban Said._x000D_ 20 x 12.2 x 2.5 cm_x000D_ _x000D_ Condition: The cover flap has come off and is enclosed._x000D_ Provenance: Collection Rene Vittoz (1904 St. Petersburg - 1992 Bern). His father was a Protestant pastor in St. Petersburg. In 1918 the family had to leave Russia and moved back to their Swiss homeland. Rene Vittoz studied in Geneva and Lausanne and received his doctorate in Romance languages. In Bern he was a teacher of French and art history. He has authored several books, worked as a painter and was a passionate art collector. After his death, some items were already auctioned at Christies._x000D_
