JAPAN, Meiji period (1868-1912). Two Satsuma earthenware vases mounted in lamps decorated with nobles and children, landscapes in poly-lobed reserves. A frieze of geometric motifs decorates the shoulder. Polychrome and gilt glazed porcelain. Height: 46 cm. Diameter: 16 cm. The gilding is missing and cracked. One of the mounts is cracked and oxidized.
