He presents a room full of familiar things, but gives human proportions to these once modest accessories of everyday life, creating a poetic shock and a sense of disorientation in the face of a desired and sought-after surreality. The interior and exterior are inverted by his rendering of a skyscape on the interior walls of the room. The familiar becomes unknown, the normal, strange.
