Dry stamp of Edizioni Aro de l'Arte, art publisher of the 60's, based in Rome. Here, Magritte again explores paradoxes and improbable associations. Behind the dove, the "pink sky" seems to be in reality wooden slats. The silhouettes of a pipe and a bird in flight create a sense of surprise in the face of surreality and a direct connection between the artist and the viewer. These two elements being very recurrent in Magritte's work, they appear almost as the artist's personal signature.
