NO RESERVE Acton (Harold).- Howard (Brian) Autograph journal of his stay in Florence with the Actons, with mounted and loosely inserted photographs, 35pp., written in ink, mentioning several well-known figures including Harold, William and David Acton, the Contesse D'Orsay, Somerset Morme (sic), Hugh Walpole, 'The King' [of Italy, the Sitwells etc. with some biting comments "Martin and his mother come to tea, Marchesa Mairone turns up with a squirt of a husband. Complete dismay - especially Mr. Acton! She is the size of a house and so common. She is never to come again.", photographs unidentified but include views of the villa (interior and exterior) and many of the people, original Italian decorative boards, leather ties, lacking spine, covers detached, 8vo, Florence, April 11th-29th, 1922.
