Exceptional and important AGRA carpet (India), late 19th century
Dimensions : 480 x 315cm.
Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on wool foundation.
Dark brown field with "Herati" motifs.
Seven borders, the main one with interlacing turtles, flowers and stylized foliage. Beautiful wool, carpet very popular on the international coast. (restorations)
