Silk Heriz carpet (Persia), late 19th century Dimensions : 200 x 130cm. Technical characteristics : Silk velvet on silk foundation. A cream oblong field, cruciform poly-lobed, covered with floral stems in circumvolution, hosts in its center a marine medallion, in mandorla, vegetalized, having as heart a curious compartmentalized gem, decorated with four deer, and its pendants with fans. The four marine spandrels, with plant compositions are angular. Three counter borders, two cream and one chestnut, with garlands of flowers, frame the main navy, with a series of corollas, placed on an interlacing of floral branches. Highlighted with links.
