Silk TABRIZ carpet (Persia), late 19th century
Dimensions : 180 x 130cm.
Technical characteristics : Silk velvet on silk foundation.
An ivory field in ogive with accolades, hosts a magnificent tree of life with its leafy and flowery branches, interlaced in polychromy. Two ornate and vegetalized columns support the navy blue vaults with floral stems. Two counter borders, brick and ivory, with stylized garlands frame the main navy one with multicolored floral interlacing. Overlining with flowers and beige braid. (Wear and tear and restorations, as is)
