Vicente Peris is an artist who, starting from an initial fascination for painting, ends up tackling other fields such as sculpture, photography, video, music and even dance. With an extraordinary creative capacity, he develops a pictorial language halfway between figuration and abstraction, with a vigorous line and magnificent workmanship, innovative in his proposals and techniques, integrating the celebration, the scenic ritual and the process of painting as an indivisible part of the artistic work. An artist of academic training, Peris began to be known in the late sixties, from his debut with a solo exhibition held at the Estil gallery in Valencia in 1967. The following year he would present himself, always alone, at Zero in Murcia, and in 1969 he would do so at Fortuny in Madrid. Since then he has held personal exhibitions in leading galleries in Spain, Italy, Germany, Latin America and Portugal, highlighting for its importance the one entitled "Las Lunas" and held in 2008 at the IVAM in Valencia. Also, since 1970 he has participated in various group exhibitions and competitions, including the II Biennial of Valencia in 2006.
