The presented object containing less than 20 % of worked Elephantidae spp (I/A) ivory, pre-Convention, prior to March 3, 1947 and thus in conformity with the EC Rule 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art.2-Wmc, with the French decrees of August 16, 2016 modified and of May 4, 2017, is on free sale.
For an exit of the European Union, a CITES certificate of re-export will be necessary, this one being at the expense of the future purchaser. The delivery of such a document is not automatic.
For a possible re-export, it will be up to the buyer to get information - before any purchase - from the customs of the country concerned, especially if it is the United States.
