Caesaris Commentarios Notae, Adnotationes, Commentarii Frankfurt, Aubrius Marnius, 1606. 8 sheets, 450 p., 579 p. Half parchment (rubbed and bumped, stained). The rare first edition. - Without the 3 printed maps (I: Romani Imperii typus, II: Galliae veteris desriptio, III. typus Hyspaniae veteris). - Includes Caesar's famous commentary (books I-VII) on the Gallic War (58 to 51/50 B.C.) and the 8th book by Aulus Hirtius in Latin and Ancient Greek as well as a commentary. - Browned and partly waterstained. With handwritten ownership note and lat. annotations of the Saxon. Scholar and Deacon M. Christian Friedemann Martinis and his lat. addition 'Inferjo Muelis (?) Joann. Schefferj'.
The rare first edition with the Old Greek text. Second publication after the Roman edition of 1469. Pierer's Universal-Lexicon 3, 728. - The 3 folded maps (I: Romani Imperii typus, II: Galliae veteris desriptio, III.
