AN EDWARDIAN SILVER TEA CADDY, by George Nathan & Ridley Hayes, Chester 1901, oval form beneath a flared rounded rectangular rim with gadrooned edge and scrolling shell-form corners, the hinged domed cover with reeded bud finial, the body with central fluted girdle above a plain band, raised on four flattened ball feet. 11.1cm wide, 10.5cm high, 6.8 troy ounces8012048Marks clear and well struck, further stamped with lion passant and conforming date letter to inside of cover. Hinge very slightly loose but sturdy. Stands upright, does not wobble. Light surface marks and scratches throughout commensurate with age and use
