La Petite Danseuse de 14 ans is a wax sculpture presented by Edgar Degas at the 1881 Exposition des Indépendants.
The Degas Committee contractually authorized the reduction in bronze to a height of nearly 70 cm for 38 individually stamped bronzes as follows:
26 bronzes marked with the letters of the alphabet from A to Z.
9 bronzes marked I/IX to IX/IX.
1 bronze marked "HEIR" for the Degas Committee.
2 bronzes marked HC1/2 and HC2/2.
This Little Dancer 70 cm letter S is registered in the computer base of the Committee.
This registration is intended for the realization of a Catalogue Raisonné of the sculptures of Degas.
A certificate from the Degas Committee dated 17 May 2021 will be given to the buyer.
