AN EASTERN GREEK HELLENISTIC GOLD NECKLACE WITH AGATE BEADS, 3RD CENTURY B.C.
22 in. Max length ; 2 in. Central agate length ; 46,8 grs. The central part of the necklace is made of a large "V" shaped agate, pierced on both sides and
finished with gold ties. The beads are linked together by long tubular sections of flattened gold threads woven together. At each termination, a cylindrical gold
tie and a ring. The clasp consists of a long hook and a double attachment ring. Excellent state of conservation.
The central part of the necklace is composed of a large agate in the shape of a "V", pierced on both sides and finished with gold ties.
The pearls are linked together by long tubular sections of flattened and braided gold wire. At each end is a cylindrical gold clip and ring.
