Orders & Decorations Germany - Erich Honnecker Estate : Standard of Erich Honecker as Party and State Council Chairman of the GDR. The flag cloth in the colours black - red - gold with the national coat of arms of the GDR executed on both sides in gilt metal thread embroidery. Golden fringe on three sides. On original two-piece flag pole with gilded flag tip with hammer and compass. The red ribbon of the workers' movement on the pole. Magnificent and extremely elaborately crafted flag that corresponds to the pattern of the troop flags of the GDR. This flag was in Erich Honecker's study as a symbol of his position as Party and State Council Chairman. The regular troop flags of the GDR are almost without exception in the Military History Museum of the German Armed Forces in Dresden. It is therefore practically impossible to acquire an original copy. Museum piece of the greatest rarity and contemporary historical significance for the history of the GDR. 1-2
