On the left, the goddess Ariadne imagined playing the harp (Ariadne, daughter of the king of Crete, Minos: son of Zeus and Pasiphae (daughter of Helios: God of the sun) and at his side: Bacchus imagined' (Roman God of wine) Surrounded by lush vegetation and in the background, in perspective, the foundations and a river Source: The love of Ariadne and Dionysus (Greek God of the vine) / Bacchus (Roman God) inspired many musical compositions, notably the painter Sebastiano Ricci (1691-1694) who represented their meeting in Naxos on several occasions
