"The feast of love and country banquet scene From a cardboard by Charles Vigne and inspired by the paintings of Antoine Watteau and Nicolas Lancret. Technical characteristics : Silk and wool. Remarkable finesse. Beautiful polychromy. Restorations of maintenance. Dimensions : Height : 164cm ; Width : 260cm. Four friends are playing blind man's buff on the edge of the forest, close to the village. Indeed we see two ladies nobly dressed, one of them blindfolded, and two gentlemen, indulging in this childish game. While a biniou player, seated on a rock, consults with a charming young woman. Hilly landscape on the horizon. Border with braid.
