Alfred Dunhill (1872-1959) was an English tobacco merchant, entrepreneur and inventor. Today the Dunhill brand is famous for its cigarette boxes, pipes and luxury lighters. Strauss, Allard & Meyer were Parisian manufacturers of kits and other small boxes and accessories, operating in the 1920s and 1930s. They supplied famous jewellers such as Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels and Lacloche.
