Two border strips for a liturgical vestment Dark red silk velvet, appliqué embroidery in silver lantern with a yellow (?) soul, red and white silk fringe border. Finest embroidery of a staggered Renaissance fountain motif with symmetrical leafy vines and grotesques. Probably originally for a chasuble or dalmatic.
