Fine "Colt Police" Model 1862, five-shot, 36 caliber, single action percussion revolver. Round, rifled barrel of 13.5 cm with markings "ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S AMERICA". Fluted barrel with markings "AT SEPT 10th 1850". Carcass stamped "COLT'S PATENT". Barrel, cylinder, frame, hammer, ramrod and trigger guard richly engraved with foliage scrolls. Silver plated bronze stock, decorated in half round with stylized vegetal motifs, allegory holding a balance and a cross of an Eagle protecting the coat of arms of the United States on the cap.
