Theodor BERGMANN (1850-1931) was the director of the Einsenwerke Gaggenau from 1879.
He is also a very prolific weapons manufacturer whose inventions were adopted or copied by many countries and who developed many automatic pistols manufactured by himself or by the companies to which he granted a licence: Bergmann Bayard, Bergmann Pieper.
