Invisible Graffiti is part of a body of work in which the artist is particularly interested in the invisible and the hidden. The idea is privileged, and he works on the notion of absence. In the street, he draws the contours of shadows with silver spray paint. Recently, and still testifying to his quest for the elusive, invisible graffiti are executed with a phosphorescent paint that can only be seen under certain lighting conditions.
Christophe Aguirre Schwarz, known as Zevs, is a French graffiti artist who became known in the 1990s. His name comes from the accident he avoided at the age of 14 in a train of RER. While he was tagging, an RER named Zeus appeared. After that, light and electricity will be sources of inspiration in his work. Having grown up in an artistic family, his artistic identity differs from the New York fashion of the time because he is impregnated with the art books he read in his youth. His work is somewhere between poetry and activism, but from 2009 when he was imprisoned in Hong Kong for defacing a Chanel storefront, his vandalistic actions gave way to a more institutional format.
