He exhibited at the Salon from 1865 to 1879. There is a version of the same subject of the work we present painted by Hardon now kept in the Louvre Museum. Oil on panel, signed lower right, 12.4 x 16 in, with frame : 21.3 x 23.6 in. On the back : Italian man.
