Travel souvenir album. On the front flyleaf one can read: "from 31 May to 15 August 1862", a tracing gives the itinerary of a "Journey to Switzerland 15 August - 3 September 1879 [?]", finally, the pictures, vignettes, chromos stuck on the pages go from Berlin 5 June to Lausanne 22 July! This album was made in the second half of the 19th century, before photography and postcards; several pictures seem to be cut out (carefully and surrounded by a black net and titled in black ink), other smaller ones are already titled and should have already been bought by the pocket. Several images are in color. It is obviously very interesting because of the numerous pictures it gathers (glued on the front of 46 sheets + 4 sheets of a herbarium of small mountain flowers also glued on the front). Oblong album of 22 x 31 cm bound at the time (otherwise sold empty) in brown granite cloth, cold decoration of geometrical patterns, gilt title on the front cover: "ALBUM"). Good condition.
