Senior infantry officer saber model 1845/55. Watermarked horn handle. Brass mounting. Guard with a branch with openwork decoration of foliage and flowers. Short-tailed cap with chased palm leaves. Quillon in volute. Straight blade with two edges, double hollow sides separated by a central gutter, marked by the manufacture of Châtellerault June 1854. Sheet steel scabbard with two rings. Good condition and accompanied by a strap.
