Ivory box, handle, locks and iron fittings. Art courtois, France, 14th century. Weight: 670 g. H.8 W.18,7 D.10,5 cm. This box is composed of ivory plates carved with courtly and romantic scenes from the story of Tristan and Yseult and scenes of hunting with unicorn. Reference : A similar model in the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire de Bruxelles under the n° inv. 1453. Provenance: Private collection East of France, purchase Charles Ratton 1952
