Adoration of the Magi and Crucifixion. Ivory diptych. School of Paris, XIVth century, around 1360. Weight: 274,5 g. H.12 W.18,5 D.1 cm. On the left side, under a triple gothic arcature, the crowned Virgin carries the child Jesus on her knees, surrounding him with her right arm and presenting him to the wise men who came to adore him and offer him gold, incense and myrrh; on the right side, under a triple gothic arcature, Christ on the cross and the figure of the Virgin on the left supported by two holy women, on the right, Saint John holding the book is followed by two Jews wearing hats.
