50 At the Ambassadors, or Singer at the Café-Concert. 1894. Lithograph. 240 x 350 [430 x 608]. Delteil 68; Wittrock 58. Printed in colors. Very nice proof on cream vellum, signed in pencil. Edition at 100 proofs for L'Estampe originale, with its dry stamp (Lugt 819). 20 000 - 25 000 € Oxidation of the subject when opening the passe-partout and when opening a window framing the signature. Numerous scattered light foxing. Les Ambassadeurs was a café-concert, then a Parisian theatre, created in 1830 on the Champs-Élysées, not far from the Crillon Hotel and the Place de la Concorde. In 1970 it became the Théâtre de la Ville-espace Cardin.
