He evokes "the necessity of my afferes [...] on the occasion of these wars", but gave them permission to raise "the post of four deniers for pound on all goods", and they must not "delay the payment of the thirty thousand livres of the loan", without worrying about its verification at the Parliament and the Chamber of Accounts...
A handwritten poem signed with an initials (by Florimond Robertet?), "Anagrammata" (3 verses) for Jules GASSOT, [circa 1567] is attached: "Charles de Valoys, Elizabet d'Austriche/Dardeur chaste le beau lyz se la choisit"...
