Shvetambara Siddhachakra under glass in a round metal box. Copper alloy, glass and painting on paper. West India, Rajasthan. 19th/20th c.
In the centre a crowned arhat in meditation seat on a throne, around his neck a garland, surrounded by eight petals, alternately filled with a siddha (above) and three white-clad figures as well as the four written essential conditions for attaining liberation.
Such objects served as meditation aids, in which case the object could be taken along on journeys.
